Supreme Court Notice

Notice from the Supreme Court

Due to the incidents of fire, smoke, dust, stampede, and damage that occurred in the Supreme Court on 2081/05/12 (Bikram Sambat), most of the court's services such as internet, telephone, underground audio-visual media, and information technology systems have been affected. As a result, the regular functions of the court have been severely disrupted. Despite this difficult situation, every effort has been made to provide updates on case filings and related proceedings.

Due to the prevailing challenging circumstances across the country and the limited presence of service seekers at the court, it is believed that many will not be able to attend on their scheduled case dates. Therefore, only the most urgent matters will be handled, and based on the mentioned circular, the court proceedings will continue as per the rescheduled cause list (case schedule).

The case scheduling and presence of parties will be managed accordingly under Clause No. 14 of the 2079 Judicial Act and Rule 225 of the Case Information Procedure Rules, 2079. The concerned departments will reschedule and provide necessary information for postponed or affected dates through a formal notification.

As a continuation of the notice dated 2081/05/12, the Supreme Court informs all service users that due to the lack of access to the information system, notification letters, and case updates till 2081/05/12, and recognizing the difficulty in being present during those dates, the case proceedings and relevant information for 2081/05/13 will be shared via public notification from the court.
